Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun (PC) – 2nd August.it was 3 am here when i posted that so maybe it had an impact on my texting ability there. I apologize if i came off as rude on my reply, was not my intent, only pointing out the similarity of the mechanics and my thoughts on it. they seem to listen to good ideas however they almost exclusively use their forums for such things so i would recommend it there as opposed to on steam as i know they frequent their forums more often. Perhaps you know more than I and if so by all means suggest it. I respect what you are saying but my background does not include programming so not even sure how much work we are talking to change docking but not change the others as they appear to be identical mechanics to me. We're only talking about the dock mechanic here. like for example looking at/using the buy sell sites on a station which are esentially the same mechanic Originally posted by Cybrviper:i agree it would be nice but that change would damage so many other abilities in game not sure if it would be worth it. If you want assistance feel free to friend me and we can work it out With about 2 and a half hours of tweaking i finally am able to play with only hotas and vr headset. there is a button that allows toggling target lock on/off if you want to keep a target or if you previously locked a closest enemy and wish to target other things. this hurts the ability to allow the hotas to act like a controller for the purposes of targeting(or quick selects if you did the above). Xrebirth auto detects then kills the ability to remove a control even if you turn it back off. it will hurt your quick selects in this case. Mouse and keyboard themselves will not cause an issue unless you remove the headset and try to dabble around using the screen. if you do you will have to restart the game to get the targeting to work properly again. Also do not turn on any other controllers or have them plugged in unless you plan to use them in the game. Launch the game from your computer without turning on vr controller. Some things i noticed using my t.flight hotas. It would be really great if we could stand up from our pilot's chair and walk from the cockpit out onto the landing platform and into the station, instead of appearing at the base of the landing ramp when we dock. Currently, I need to reset my seated postion when I stand up, or it looks like I'm twice as tall as all of the people on the platforms. I have found that when walking around a station (what little there is of it), I prefer to stand up and use the Vive controller for forward, back and sidestepping, and just turn my body (in room-scale) to rotate. Maybe I'm just missing something, but it seems like with a little tweaking, I wouldn't need to pick up the contollers at all. Similarly, I can bring up the main menu and navigate to whatever I need (comms, maps, etc.) with the HOTAS, but I have to use the Vive controller to select the menu options at the bottom of the window. I've set mine up so that I can control most functions from my X-52, but I haven't been able to get 3D select (I think that's what it's called) to work, so when I want to dock, I have to fly near a docking icon until it highlights, then pick up the Vive controller (for which I've disabled all in-flight controls except 3D select) to open up the menu and select "dock". I have similar frustrations with HOTAS control.
